is it weird that i really like girls who love to eat?

(not in the "glutton" kind of way for the record)

combining the fact i've been cooking more often/a wider variety of ethnicities in recent months with my desire to pursue all local specialty dishes when i travel and i'm starting to realize that food factors into my relationships a ton.

in the past, i've dated/had interest in quite a few vegetarians (or close enough to be called one). never really had interest in any vegans just because of the severe limitations. i've cooked according to their tastes and found myself holding back a ton. fortunately, in accommodating their interests, i found quite a few new restaurants i may not have sought out if the situation was different.

on the other had it was always a major bummer to me that the people i had interest in were so reluctant/fearful/just not interested in the kind of food i wanted to explore/enjoyed.

although my relationship (like every other relationship) has ups and downs, it's nice to have quite a few things in common like food interests because it opens up a world of opportunity concerning new places to check out as well as interesting events to partake in while abroad.

now only if i was dating someone who actually had interest in sports on top of all the other good things i might consider putting a ring on it.

...and by "interest in sports" i really meant "interest in ICP."

hahah, highly doubt the girls you dated who were vegetarian were FEARFUL to eat meat. more like they just know what they believe in.

"not interested in the kind of food i wanted to explore/enjoyed." it was just a vague statement branching out further than the meat part.

idk why you shortened your original sentence, because you did use the term "fearful", mw! i'm sure this wasn't your intent, but the tone of this entry makes you sound like you're above (1) exgfs & (2) vegetarianism ... i happen to think highly of both. & i also happen to think that certain exgirlfriends were VERY open minded & never forced their beliefs on you or judged you for eating meat. maybe they just didn't like your meat? or meat heads who write about what a "major bummer" someone's ethical beliefs are. being vegetarian is a lifestyle choice & not close minded or FEARFUL at all. just sayinnn.

as much as you are making it seem like this post was specifically calling out's not. believe it or not the point of me making a post like this is to talk about things i'm thinking and not bash people i've dated before. i have no problem with my exgirlfriends, vegetarianism, or people's ethical beliefs. so spin it how you'd like but you're taking this in a direction it really doesn't need to go.

of course you wouldn't openly or purposely make a post to bash someone ... but it does sound a little bitter. either way, i'm glad you found a lifestyle slash gf that fits you.

bitter? nah. if i were bitter that would mean that i placed a really high value on something related to my post and if i had when i was dating the girls then i would have broken it off way earlier than i did with them. thank you, though.
